Default TTtruck

I am looking at buying a 25 TT truck it has a flat bed that i think Ford did not offer . The cab looks like it is a factory made item though . It has pressed panels in the extended cab sides , According to the owner these trucks only do 35 Miles an HR ,or is this a tuning /coil problem. Also are there two transmissions offered one with mutable clutch disks ,Thanks for any help .

The 25 TT direct from Ford should have a metal Express body. Many of the beds were built by Ford and have the Ford script stamped in the metal bed frame in the rear. The standard transmission was the 2-speed version, however it has a worm driven rear end. The top speed is actually 25 mph. Warford transmissions offered more gears and higher speeds, but back in the day, 35 mph was very reasonable for a truck. If you send me your eMail, I can forward pictures of my 26TT if you would like. My eMail is [email protected]
Best,
Paul

I think you will find that the top speed without killing them is more like 18-20 mph
