I cannot remember the last time I saw ANY half dollar in circulation. Just not a popular coin nowadays.

One of my hobbies is spending twos, halves, and dollars, just to watch the reactions. The ones that cause the most confusion and panic are the halves and the Susans. Every few months I go to the bank and restock.

Very cool. It had been there a very long time!
Back then that was a lot of money. Maybe enough gas to really go somewhere! I remember in the sixties as a teen we would pool our money and go get a dollar's worth of gas. Almost 4 gallons at the time! |

What you would really like to find is the alleged 6th 1913 liberty head nickel.

Steve, I like spending $2.00 bills. People think they are old and collectible.
