Default Gas Line Leak

Gas line leak between carburetor and fuel pump. How to prevent leaks at nuts and farrels? Have tried soldering and crimping. Any suggestions?

I think the alignment on these fittings needs to be spot on.

I had a little trouble, but some re-bending of the line made it leak free

Steve I always soften the olives on the pipes by annealing them first. Gives them a better chance to seal. Always works for me.

I think some companies have made the ferrules out of hard brass and they won't compress to form a seal. Like Tiger said heat them up with a soft flame and put in cold water to soften them. G.M.

Try realigning first as jrhaelig suggests. I had exactly the same problem. I took the pipe off again and carefully and slowly did the nuts up...no leaks.

I have seen the fuel line fitting wrapped with sewing thread to stop a leak
at the fitting.
