After having been left in a field for 45 years, my 1930 Standard Phaeton was in a Quonset Hut for a couple of years when I obtained it.

I have posted these on fordbarn before, but it seems appropriate to show them again on this thread.

The first photo was given to me by a friend and was taken in the early to mid-80's, followed by the Quonset Hut "Barn Find" photo as It was when I first saw the car.

Next is the day we pulled it out for transport, -20 F that day.

Then first time in warm garage in 50 years, this was spring of 2009.

The final photo was clean-up day, Memorial Day, 2009 at 2:00 AM

I'm still driving my '31 pick up. It was parked in a plumbing warehouse for 45 years in New York where I found it. Prior to that, it was stored and occasionally driven in central New Hampshire since WW2, probably from that area since new I believe. I have been able to keep the old NH inspection sticker on the windshield, so I drive it with both, a Mass. sticker & a NH sticker. The local police think it's a novelty and respect that.

They are still out there. I've been helping a buddy with a '28 Special Coupe that sat in a barn since the late 50s. Engine was stuck tight so we pulled the head and tappet cover, freed everything up and got it started. The car has the original Sept '28 engine and I can't believe how good it ran.

Found this one in '09

Still driving it and putting original parts on as I find them to replace the few repro's I used to put it together.

Since this picture I have found and mounted a visor.
