1949 Courtesy Light Switch Replacement
My stock 1949 courtesy light switch does not work. Do you know of any courtesy switches that will work or that can be retrofitted to work with this housing. This is for the B Pillar light switch.
I cannot find a NOS switch. Thank you for your help. Last edited by mercury 48; 01-19-2018 at 02:56 PM. |

Re: 1949 Courtesy Light Switch Replacement
Are you talking about the one on the dash or the one on the door post? Have you tried Shoebox- Central or searched the Hemings Motor News site? Any push-pull switch should work in the dash. I think I’ve seen replacements for the door jamb switch at the usual parts suppliers........ Mark

Re: 1949 Courtesy Light Switch Replacement
The switch that controls the dome light is on the B pillar. The courtesy lights are controlled by the door jamb switch.
I have dismantled and fixed one that was not working. If you can't fix it there are many types of slide switches that are available. Such as this........ https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-Pcs-3A-12...kAAOSwLdBaSw9d
