Still trying to lift ring...Stopped when I hear slight crackling of glass.. No break yet but trying to find a better pry tool?

You may hear a crackle or two when you start moving the ring that has been there 80+ years. Also, little sharp edge of glass will chip when pressure is applied to them, but NOT TO WORRY. GIT 'ER DONE.

Thought you were watch maker. Get the small screw driver better make that two of them & start one then just work your way around the ring from the outer edge. Ignition point screw drivers work also.

Ah, if I breaks I will get a replacement...The 95% of the car is original so what if I have to replace the dome light! I think it is stuck maybe I will paint some penetrating oil on there. Don't want to spray to affect the original headliner.
