Default 1940 Rear Radius Rods- Front Bolt?

Question on front bolt used for securing radius rods to torque tube. The radius rods have a coutersunk hole for the front bolt. All of the bolts I've seen are run of the mill hex bolts. The holes must have been countersunk by the factory for a reason. Should the bolt and nut be a countersunk type (like front spring perch and nut) or should bevelled washers be used? I have trouble visualizing any movement between the radius rods and torque tube but, as I said, the factory did it for a reason. Using a regular bolt and nut seems inadequate. Thank you, Dennis/Arkansas

The (proper) hex blot, lock washer and nut serves adequately.
The brackets I have seem to fit between the rods and the mounting
tab on the torque tube???

Otherwise, to my knowledge (?) the bolt is a hex head, not countersunk, is drilled for a cotter pin and uses a hex castle nut. I never noticed the countersink in the rods before... Just looked at some 41?/42-48's and they don't have it.

Bolt, nut, and cotter are shown in the drawing as standard hardware items, standard pieces with bolt drilled for cotter.

Thank you all very much, I appreciate your input, as always. I guess I spent too many years playing with T-Models where even the front engine mount acted as a bearing. Sometimes I over think things to death. I've attached a picture of my bracket and bolt on the torque tube. Dennis/Arkansas
