Re: Painted silos
The house is an old farm house, it’s built on what’s called stumps here, to allow air to circulate and cool the house, also it sits beside a creek that would maybe sometimes floods,
The framing on the outside is a common thing hear in older homes,I don’t know the reason for it, These are some more murals from the small town we stayed at for two nights. We are now back at the campground at Ubobo, it’s raining , but cool. 33 did a great job up over the range in the mud and pouring rain, lots of low gear work. It’s now getting washed in the rain. WOW! Lawrie very interesting places you have visited. I will have to get up there and have a look myself, but not in the 34 Ford. To far from Victoria. Keep em coming. Regards to you & Carol, Kevin.

Re: Painted silos
Perhaps so the inside walls are smooth. If there's no insulation (or other modern amenities) in the wall you wouldn't really need to have siding on the exterior of the studs. The porch would have also offered protection from the rain for that wall.

Lawrie, I can answer your question. Hemispheric reversal. Another example: water circling the drain in opposite directions. |

Re: Painted silos
.
The really slick detail about this 'painting' is that the artist thought far enough ahead that the TREE LINES, both painted on the silos and the natural ones in the distance, all flow together to form an unbroken line of trees, left to right! DD |
