Default 40/41 pickup front fender bracing

Had this brace on the front fender. Internally - large side against inside of fender closest to frame. Small side unattached. Does this look "familiar" or is this something someone added? If incorrect what is the intended "stock/correct" bracing for front fenders? Thanks for your time.

Not on a 1/2 ton.
The front fender brace on a 1/2 ton is identical to a passenger car of the same year.

Kube, if you are talking about the fender brace yoke I believe there are two different ones. The '40 and early '41's used the passenger car yoke and the late '41's used a different yoke due to the deeper crossmember.

Nope, this is not the "yoke". These were apparently inside the fenders if I am understanding the original post correctly.

I understand the differences in the "yoke" you speak of.

After rereading the post he's obviously talking about the brace in the inner fender PANEL. That is obviously not the correct brace for the panel. The stock ones are spot welded to the panels.

I don't have a photo, but if you have a Drake catalog look at the repo inner fender panels that they sell. Page 517. Also do a search on this site for the build of a '40-41 pickup. I think there is some photos there of the inner panels.
