Default 40/41 pu Bed to Wood Hardware

Good Afternoon. What is the factory correct bolt and hardware used to attach the front of the bed subframe to the front wood frame (the horizontal bolt)? Believe it is a carriage bolt but what are the specs and what other hardware was used? Thanks

They were 5/16 fine thread carriage bolts, S2 (raven) plated. I do not recall the length. A hex nut, split type lock washer and flat washer were also utilized at these two points - all S2 plated.

Great thank you. Was this information located anywhere in the green bible? I looked over it pretty carefully and couldn't find it

No it was not.

Be VERY careful using any parts book when seeking authenticity - especially one published so many years after your truck was built and especially when it comes to fasteners.
Parts listed in any parts book, are intended for service. That is, to fit and function. There was little, and at times zero regard for "correct".

Understood. Read somewhere you are working on a "book" that might help some of us out. Is this true?
