Default Installing new shock links on a 37

I have one question: Is there any spacers or rubber grommets or ??? on the shock links (dogbones) on the 37 shock? It looks like metal on metal. Is that correct??

Thanks in advance

the 37 uses the one piece shock link (not the dog bones or 32-35) it has rubber bushing inside around each stud.

The ones on the rear measured 4" bolt to bolt on my 37 and 3" on the front. Is that not correct?

Tom my book does not show the 4" link used in Rear till 1941
So I would say it's not correct.

My June 1937 Chassis Parts Catalog shows 1937 rear as 48-18055A (3") and 1937 front as 78-18055 (4").

Just a follow up on the 37 links 3" vs 4"
If I did this correct there should be 2 pictures or links of pages out of my Houdaille book.
I have YELLOW Highlighted the sections.
If Gary in La. or any one else can post the pages out of the 1937 Parts book I would like a copy.
As we know just because it in a book does not make it correct.

Bill: Your information was printed after 1941. Notice the part number 11A which was not used until that time. The Dec 1936 Ford Chassis parts book list 48-18055-A as rear and 78-18055-A as front. 48- is a 3" and 78- is 4". Ford tried hard to eliminate parts and if one link would do the job of 2, then one it was, but it took time for this to happen. The "green book" printed in Nov.1950 still list the same links for 37 as the 36 book.

Sorry for late response. Terry's info is right on and the only picture chart I have seen is in the "Green Bible". Part numbers are also substantiated in the 1938-'41 Ford Chassis Parts List dated May,1941.

Back to the original question here. Every picture I see of shock links for a 1937 ford car do not show any bushings. Are they supposed to have bushings??

The shock links do not require an additional bushing.
