1950 F3 Ignition switch and door lock
Is there anywhere I can get original replacement ignition switch and door lock? My ignition switch I'm pretty sure is not original and I have no idea where the door lock key is anymore.

There are repro key sets out there, usual chinese. But they work. If you can get your door lock cylinder out, a locksmith can make a key to fit if you give him a blank.

I think 32phil on this site can key the door lock.

Re: 1950 F3 Ignition switch and door lock
The problem on trucks is getting the door lock cylinder out. It's retained by an Allen-head setscrew almost an inch long, and they rarely come out without a fight.

Re: 1950 F3 Ignition switch and door lock
If 32Phil has already returned to Florida for the winter, I can help you out with whatever you need. I have OEM switches, ignition lock cylinders, and door locks for 49-53 available.

Re: 1950 F3 Ignition switch and door lock
If you but new lock sets, make sure they are originals (as offered above). Without thinking, I order new ones for my '51 car from one of the major suppliers. They were reproductions of obvious inferior quality.

Re: 1950 F3 Ignition switch and door lock
I sent my door lock to FlatHeadCoupe, John McClure and within a day after he received it he sent me a quote listing out everything I need to have an OEN matched set. He shipped out my order and sent me tracking number the same day he received payment! Looking forward to receiving it! I'll post pics. Excellent service!!!
