I had front & rear sway bars on my first '51 and it was amazing the difference, really flat cornering.


Both sway bars are out of stock at Shoebox Central, Chris told me they have improved versions in the making, possible year end availability.

I know they're camber correction kit is way better looking than the version I have. I think it went from 3/16 to quarter inch plate or something like that

Flip the spindles there is info out there. I like the sway bar info.

Fatman makes a great product. Just know if you have a 53 you will have to cut the bumper valiance to work. too much for me.

If I had a torch or any access to one it would be all taken care of. Apparently the Fatman steering arms will work with enough grinding. I bought them to work with my flipped uprights initially but they were so expensive I didn't wanna start grinding away just to find out they still wouldn't work. Now I'm on the hunt for another set of used ones

I finally received information from the previous owner of my '51 Victoria and they have indicated that my dropped spindles are most likely Fatman 2" drop.

About front sway bars: '52/52 are larger diameter [5/8"] and 52/53 wagon bars are 3/4". The rubber mounts for the 3/4' are hard to find. I froze the 5/8' mounts and reamed them out to 3/4" -used soap to slide them on. Newc

Hi Pat,

I also have a 51 Vicky and I am interested in your power steering setup. Wondering what components were used and how the pump is driven. Do you also have any brake upgrades?

Took out my 1" spring pocket spacers. New Ford Aerostar springs. Camber correction. Cranked in 1 degree castor.
Aerostars "sagged" after a couple of years, about 1/4/1/2". Lowering blocks in rear to maintain level. Used to scoff at the idea of maintaining front to rear ride height ratio but believe me it does make a huge difference.

My '51 has a GM box and pump. Not certain of the years. I am away from my car and will be until the middle of April. I do know that it is quite crowded up front with the car being lowered a good bit.
