Opinion on landau iron
I purchased a landau iron at Chickasha yesterday and am not quite sure what it fits. I think it is for a 28/29 sports coupe, but I am not sure. It appears to be an original. It has the spacers and hardware for mounting it, but the pot metal piece that mounts to the beltrail is broken. If anyone knows for sure what it fits, would you please post the information on this thread.

Re: Opinion on landau iron
Measure from hole to hole and we can tell for sure. Their are many exact looking landau irons that are shorter or longer that fit other cars.
Need that measurment to make sure. |

Re: Opinion on landau iron
Steve,
The hole to hole measurement (center to center) is about 20 7/8". BTW, I found a CCPU dovetail part that was almost identical to the one I just bought from you, so I am OK now. I found a metal door bumper clip on a really bad CCPU body, but the fellow didn't want to sell it. I have a rust pitted one I think I can restore. Rusty Nelson |
