Default Oil pump retainer spring

I want to buy a new spring for my early style oil pan that has the retaining spring attached to the cleanout plate. Does anyone know where I can buy a couple of them? The spring might be the same as the type that fastens to the oil pump for the later style oil pan, but I don't know. Does anyone know if an oil pump with the spring attached to the bottom of it (later style) would work on a 28 style oil pan with the cleanout plate? Lastly, does anyone know if the oil pumps are different for the early style oil pans verses the later style pans, other than the pump would not have the spring attached to it of the early style. Any help would be appreciated.

I just put a new style pump in my early 28, it works fine with my early oil pan. My spring was broke and the pump was getting worn so I replaced the pump with one that has the spring attached. Got it from Snyders, they also sell the spring.
