Default 1932 rumble seat lid springs

What is the correct adjustment for 1932 - 3/W rumble seat springs.
I have adjusted the springs so that when you release the latch the rumble seat lid travels right back to the stops by itself, and when you push the lid back to close, it will balance there with about a 6 inch opening before you finally push it down to close,is this about right.

Sounds about right as the opening function is the primary purpose of the springs.

Are these peculiar to 3-W coupes? I have a sport coupe.

Only '32 deluxe coupes and '33-'34 coupes and cabriolets with rumble seats and '39 convertibles have spring-assisted rumble lids. None of the rumble lids of those models have a exterior handle on the lid; their latches are operated remotely from inside the front passenger compartment. With a sport coupe, there were none.

Yes, except for variations in the configuration of individual components.

After I first read the post I was looking for them on my 32 Brookville roadster. No wonder they did not provide them
