Default Restricted Exhaust

I think that I finally figured out why my engine would start OK and idle OK but would not accelerate. A vacuum gage indicates a plugged exhaust as it rapidly drops off with any opening of the throttle. Probably mice made a nice home over the winter. Does anyone have a trick for cleaning the exhaust. I figure that I could pyroliticaly clean it in an oven. Any easy tricks out there?

Take it off the car, pour some gas down the inlet, and set it on fire. Keep a hose nearby, and repeat if necessary.....

To help it burn as Jim posted you might have to blow some air in the pipe, either by the vacuum cleaner exhaust or an air compressor and blow gun.

Standing the exhaust up on end should allow it to burn like a chimney and fresh air should enter the bottom.
