Default Adjustable throttle rod

I'm looking for a good straight adjustable throttle rod for what was it, 49-50 Ford truck? Yeah, there is one on ebay but threads don't look too swift. What do you have? (I need one for my 35 PU which has a 39 engine and a 97 carb. I can't find one that fits. 10" plus or minus. Can measure but not at the shop right now when it's on my mind. I have a NOS one that must be close to 17-18" that I may just have to measure, cut and weld.

Fashion one from a turnbuckle or threaded rod union from HomeDepot or Lowes.

Here's a picture of my choke rod with a coupler like Jack mentions. With this small diameter rod, take care to keep the rod centered in the die when cutting the threads It will easily get pushed off center.

We stock an original Ford adjustable throttle rod…….goes from 11-7/8” to 12-7/8”……and has the spring loaded ends. I have included the picture link here.

After looking at Macs adjustable throttle rod I see how it is made. It should be easy enough to cut my NOS 18+ inch rod in two, thread it and use a threaded rod union to connect the two pieces back together. Adjustable as well. Thanks fellows. Y'all are a wealth of information.
