Default drain gas tank

I have a 1926 roadster pick up. How do I drain the gas out of this tank? Its been sitting for a long time. I saw on roadkill they just put a bunch of filters and as they clogged they removed the clogged filter. But there has to be a better way. Any ideas?
Thanks
Jerry

This is a gravity system. Just disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor and let it flow into a container. John

Not familiar with the later Ts but if it has a sediment bowl/bulb there should be a drain there.

I just saw a youtube video on how to drain a model t 1926 fuel tank. iHad no idea there was a on off valve for the gas flow. So the guy opened and closed the valve until there was no fuel coming out the line. And then he blew into the fuel line to unblock line and he listened for whistling sound from gas cap on tank.
Thanks
Jerry

You should buy a copy of the owners manual at least. It will help you learn about your car.

The shop manual is good but also buy a copy of the manual that the first owners got when they bought the car. They are reproduced and don't cost much. look for the one closest to your car year. Lots of good "owner" type info that gets overlooked in other books.

With this car having a Datsun L16 engine/transmission and unknown rear end, that book will only help so much.

This one shows the car being talked about, message 11 & 12

Not knocking the car, just saying.

You are right of course. He should just buy the owners manual and see how that rig started out. It does have some interesting modifications and bodywork but the shop manual won't help.

I will buy the shop manual. I understand my truck is kind of Frankenstein. But free is free and I am saving a Ford from being crushed.
Thanks

The shop manual might be a good read, but I think the Owners manual would be more fun to read.

The T body may be setting on Model A rails. The A fenders don't fit a T frame well at all and a 32 shell needs something up there to hold it on. No telling what all is under that sheet metal.
