Default Pinstriping
Jim Brand pinstriped my 31 Victoria and 11 Touring yesterday. He worked all day to finish both of them. A nice guy and a great talent. Art

Yes so many of these skilled people are being lost. But where lucky there are a couple of younger guys picking it up. Nice stripe and not to heavy. Funny how a 1/8" stripe will look so heavy but one that 5/32" or a little less looks just right.

Wait, what?? 1/8" = 4/32" and it looks heavier than 5/32"? And a "little less" than 5/32" is pretty close to 4/32", i.e., 1/8". Does not compute!

My mate is a talented Striper but hates doing long straight lines.It takes a great talent to pull them off the brush evenly.
A bit like panel beating,easier to repair a curved panel opposed to a larger flat panel.

I am sure. At some point one needs to dip the brush back into the can of paint, creating a 'cold' joint. I can see where that would be problematic.

Jim is great! Not only is he probably the best Model A Striper in the country. He contributes a great deal to MARC’s Judging Standards Committee.

Well, I just got new specs from Lens Crafters yesterday...
Kind of the same deal as a Home Depot for your eyes.
So, am I possibly seeing correctly that the upper pin stripe is consistently narrower than the lower stripe? Was that the original approach?
And, please, assure me that it's just the lights making it look like those two incredible stripes were actually painted in two different shades....
Fabulous artistry.
I really hope he has an apprentice.... (That's somebody called an "Intern" today..)

The upper stripe around the windows is thinner than the lower stripe on the belt line. Jim said that is correct, he should know. They are both the same shade of apple green, it may be the lighting.
