Default 34 Ignition Key problem solved

After restoring the steering column of my 34 Cabriolet, all nicely painted with one of Flathead Ted's new 'original look' steering boxes on the end, I could not find my ignition key! Disaster, no local locksmith had the faintest suggestion of what to do. A search on Fordbarn located 32Phil and within 2 weeks he had my problem sorted. Such is the Fordbarn community that Phil posted the new keys off to me in New Zealand even before receiving payment. More senior members probably know of Phil, I was very relieved to find him and can recommend his services, however, long distant! Thanks again, Phil.

I had Phil cut me a couple of keys from my door cylinder numbers, they worked great.

Phil is great

The second owner of my car Owned the car for 45 years and kept a logbook with everything in it . It included recorded on the first page the original key number and Phil cut me a key based on this. Unfortunately it didn't work and I later found an entry in the middle of logbook "igniton lock changed new key code = " By that time I had sent my old key to Phil who had provided me with a door lock keyed to that key and two matching new keys which all worked perfectly . No problems that I lived in Godzone as well -Karl
