Default Is this is 1932 Ford Generator

Just wondering if one (or more) of you would be kind enough in helping me confirm the make, model and year of the generator. It was sold to me as a 1932 Ford generator and that it would work with a 1932 ford model B cabriolet (4 cylinder). While, the terminal is on the outside, the pully is 3 1/2 inches and the brackets that attach to the motor seem rather large. The part number on the bracket is 9N10139C (top of bracket) and 17 X (on bottom of bracket. Any comments / observations would be appreciated. Thanks, Matt

That part number is a dead giveaway! That generator is from a Ford tractor. "9N" is a tractor first made in 1939-thus the '9' for 1939, and 'N', the tractor designation.

Page 6-2 of the "1932 Ford Book" from the Early Ford V8 club (https://shop.efv8.org/collections/fo...tbound-all-new) has photos and a written description of the generator you need, which is not the one that you show. You really should get a copy of the book. It will answer questions you didn't even know you had.

You should add your general location to your profile, you can never tell when it might pay off.
