1930 Coupe side window dimensions
What are the dimensions of the side widows on a late 30 coupe. I replaced the window channels and the windows are to tight`!! I "think" that the widows are original but?? I got it in 1964 and it was in such good shape that I have just painted it twice and replaced the engine. I bought the channels long ago so perhaps they are the problem? Thanks

Re: 1930 Coupe side window dimensions
Can you tell if they are tight due to glass thickness, or are they tight due to glass width?

It's the side to side measurement.

Re: 1930 Coupe side window dimensions
My coupe side window glass is 25" wide. Not sure if it is original.

Re: 1930 Coupe side window dimensions
The window width on my 1930 coupe is 25 inches, but I had all new (safety) glass cut when car was rebuilt in 1977-1979, so it definitely isn't original glass. On at least one occasion (on the passenger door side window) I've had to run a "birthday cake" candle up and down both channels to ease the operation of that window.

Re: 1930 Coupe side window dimensions
Noyo55 - Lindy Williams' reply raises an interesting question, namely whether you are inquiring about the door window glass (as I and - apparently - 31apickup presumed) or the quarter window glass to which Lindy's dimensions seem to apply? In the event, the dimension given in my reply applies to the door window glass width (fore and aft dimension). Sorry for any confusion.

Try looking up glass at the Brattons site.
