stock header vs cast iron header
i know the performance differences are great....but im going with a custom downdraft intake manifold and was curious if the dimensions between the two exhaust manifolds have much of a difference?
the intake manifold i have is for a stock exhaust manifold, but i was hoping it will still clear if i upgrade it to a cast iron one from snyders.? |

Re: stock header vs cast iron header
Not sure but you might want to post this on the HAMB, they have a "banger" group over there. There is also someone on the A swap section on the Barn who manufactures custom intakes and exhausts. Hope this helps

Re: stock header vs cast iron header
yes it will still work fine. You just can not use the original updraft intake with the aftermarket castiron exhaust manifold

Re: stock header vs cast iron header
One thing to consider is that the cast iron manifold acts like a big heat-sink and will put more heat into the passenger compartment. I've run both and like the tube headers better, partly for that reason.
