dashboard removal

On my 48 coupe some screws that hold dash panel around the speedometer are loose, I need to tighten them, but access to them is impossible. The only option I see is to remove the dash, is there procedure to follow, I haven't had any luck on the internet so far, maybe some member has done this before and would share their experience, I don't want to mess something up if I try on my on

The dash is attached at the cowl in a couple of places. To get access, you'll need to remove the kick panels, the glove box, the wiper control knob, and the windshield trim. I found it best for the front seat to be out of the car to do the work.

To physically remove the dash requires that all the electrical connections be undone. Take many pictures before and during the process. Getting a spry younger helper involved is also a good strategy.

If you are asking about the plastic ribbed trim piece, it is attached from the rear in only a couple of places, kind of central to each of the three pieces. Maybe 1/4" bolts, with fairly large head. Hard to see and get to, tho. Mine is loose, too by the way.
