Default continuation of another thread

I am by no means an expert on this, but this is what the center section of my '48 mercury coupe frame looks like. I don't know if there is a difference between ford and mercury frames, so please educate me. Thank you Tom

This is what Ford frame looks like.
You will have to determine what the dimensions are to make a true comparison.
