Default Firestone Sparkplugs

I have an unopened box of 25 Firestone C40CF spark plugs. Are they worth using in my A's? I think they might be WWII surplus.

There's a craigslist Fresno add for some of these. They're marked "cold, severe service" not sure what that means?

Find a plug collector and ask him what vehicle that number plug applies to. Wayne

An engine that works hard will heat the plug more, so the engine usually would need a colder plug.

My Original Cub Cadet has a snow plow and I use it at fast idle, which has plenty of power to push the snow out of the way. Since this engine runs an easy life the recommended Champion J8 plug is usually black and fouls out. I need to use a hotter plug, like J9 or J10 so the plug will heat up more.

Both of my A's live easy lives cruising at 25-35. I think I'll stay with the Champions that I'm now using and try to sell the Firestones at my next swap meet trip.
Thanks, Robert
