Need some engine info
I bought this 26/27 touring about 5 or so years ago. I believe it was in the middle of restoration when the owner passed away. I got it pieces and now trying to figure out how to get it back together. Lol. This is my 1st T. Anyone tell me what this super X head is? Thanks

Re: Need some engine info
Aside from looking like it had cracked from freezing and been epoxy repaired, it may be a high compression head. Youll need to pull it and examine the combustion chambers. An OEM Ford low head (Shorter for higher compression) has re-enforcing bosses around the spark plug threads. the later HIGH heads didn't need that because there was that much more meat for the threads. Pull it off and paste a pic here. Is it aluminum per chance? Whats the engine number off the side of the block by the water inlet? ws

Re: Need some engine info
If the paint job on that engine (including the spark plugs!) is any indication I'd have serious doubts about the "restoration". Whatever you find, you're going to need info. The T is fairly simple, but it's also different from anything you've worked on before. Here's a link for all new T owners:

Here are some more pics of head, block and pan. I know the pan is some aftermarket piece. The car appears to gave been going through a home restoration. Paint job is driver not show quality. Thanks.

Re: Need some engine info
Ok from what I gathered I think this block is a 1920. The number i found is 4352606. I got the info from a Mac's catalog. Would this be correct? Thanks to Steve Jelf and yachtsmanbill for info they have given.
