Can you tell me which carb I have?
Hi can you tell from my photos which carb I have? (Make and model#.) Is it a Holley 94? That's my suspicion at this point. It's original to my '54, I believe. Thanks!

Yup, most likely a Holley 94. Ford used them from the '30s up through '57.

Re: Can you tell me which carb I have?
That is a Ford EBU carburator. It is the predecessor of the '55 Ford Holley 2100 and '56 Ford ECG carb, Holley 2110. These were all manufactured by Holley for Ford.
There were slight variations in linkage on the carbs for truck engines. The Ford EBU carburator was introduced for the '54 Ford 239 Y-block, but some of them carried over into the '55 Model year. The EBU carb has one inch venturi's. Later versions of this style carb as mentioned above had slightly larger venturi's. All these had a 3-hole mounting base at the valve body and are interchangeable on the '54/55/56 intake manifolds, but the 56 oil-bath air-cleaner will not fit on the earlier carbs and vice versa due to differences in the main body throat size. The is one rebuild gasket set available for all three styles. It can be purchased today from most repro parts suppliers and carb parts specialists. The kits are ethanol safe. The '56 Ford EGC, Holley 2110 was the first year for the automatic choke. My '55 Ford came with a Ford EBU carb from the factory and I am still using it. I also have a rebuilt spare I keep if ever there is a need for a swap. I can't think of an easier carb to rebuilt and install. |

Re: Can you tell me which carb I have?
It is a Holley 94. Ford bought the design after Holley 94's were used for some years. When you buy parts just tell them it is a Holley 94. I know this because I have 3 of them on my car.
