Default 1913 crack in block

I found a crack in the block at the manufacture stamp on the right side between 3 and 4 cylinder. I hear there is a repair that can be done without taking engine out/apart. But I rather have it looked at by someone who is familiar with block repair. Any suggestions would be helpfull. Also -anyone know of available blocks?

Stitch welding is a good process and can be done in the car. You drill a hole in the start of
the crack and tap it then you thread in a special insert, you keep drilling one hole next to
the other overlapping each one. Its a good permanent repair. Google the process.
Anther quick method you can do yourself is using J.B. Weld. You grind the crack in a V
and fill it with the J.B. Weld. Sometimes this can be permanent and sometimes you
will have to redo it in 5 or 10 yrs.

My 2 cents.....

The value will be much more than a cracked block.

I believe that Mark at Model T Haven is advertising a 1913 block that has been modified to 1911 specs, and had crack repairs done. $1300.00 Any 100 year old vehicle will not take a financial hit because of a crack repair. Gary

Thank you for that information. I agree - however there4 will be someone out there down playing the value. If I choose to sell after the repair I will tell the buyer of the repair
Thanks

This is a cold stitching job I had done by Frank Casey. The block had four cracks.
