Default Gas resistant paint for tank?

I want to spray (rattle can if possible) my gas tank before putting it back in place. Is there a rattle can 'black' that will withstand some gas spillage? Possibly Tractor Supply or similar outlet?

Acrylic enamel with hardner worked for me.

An epoxy would probably be the most durable

I was hoping someone could recommend a good industrial paint that could be applied before installing the gas tank. It is a Drake tank and has a silver paint or primer applied.

Do what Ford did. Use lacquer to paint the tank. It is fuel proof. Ford found that out when the gas tank was cowl mounted on the Model A where overfilling and ripping was a sure thing.

If Du Ponts IMRON is still available it will hold up brake fluid won't even touch it from what I have heard but it isn't in a rattle can

We buy lacquer in rattle cans for use on parts exposed to gas.
