Lightbulb 1929 dealership sales book

Thought this might be of interest.
I attended an automobilia auction in WAkonda south Dakota. This item was one of many items for sale. The listing description read as follows:

"1929 Ford Model A Dealership Sales Book - super nice! 16"x11". 50 plus pages, condition is excellent for the age, shows all the different body styles. All black & white, lots of photos of real cars inside, awesome!"

I entered a maximum proxy bid of $100.00 that fell slightly short of the winning bid of $650.00.

Here's a link to the auction catalog with winning bids.

That's a lot more than I would have figured, and then there's an 18% buyer's premium (shouldn't it really be called a BUYER"S PENALTY) on top of it, plus sales tax on the total after the buyer's premium is added in.

Now, there wasn't enough information given to tell me if this was the actual book from 1927, or is it a reprint?

Tom - the book was billed as an original dealer item, still, I thought the final price was high. I guess it all comes down to supply and demand.

Charles - I wouldn't be too concerned about those BB/22 holes. In today's world of collectables they probably add value.
