Re: 1929 model a taxi cab
This one has a Pittsburgh Taximeter installed , as was mentioned in Lorin Sorensen's "The Commercial Fords" as being standard equipment.

Ford Taxi Meter?
Is this an original (restored obviously) taximeter for the Ford Model A taxis?
With the "Made for Ford Motor Company" (at the bottom of the face) it seems like it would be Model A vintage. Any insight would be much appreciated, Brad in Maryland |

Yes, your taximeter is the typical Pittsburgh meter used in many of the original Model A Taxis. It looks to be accurately restored. Is it available?
