Re: aluminum flywheel
Fidanza flywheels, the one I was looking at has the steel replaceable insert,
rather than the bare aluminum face, the last price I seen was around 300 dollars, sounded like the best deal I don,t remember exactly what seller had them, Ill look and let you know, I really want a lighter steel flywheel for my blown engine, someone on the old ford barn bought a steel one that was lighter than stock, I would like to know where they got it. plenty of used ones for sale cheap and they are easy to redrill to fit the Ford crank. Gear drive starters are readily adapted. |

Re: aluminum flywheel
I have a stock flywheel turned down, weighs about 22#, seems to work good. It's has lots of miles on it on works fine. Makes my 286 rev like it is an overhead.
