Default Powder Coating Heads

Anyone ever have any experience powder coating cast iron heads ('36)? Does the powder coating cause any cooling problems?

I do not know if the powder coating can take the heat.

I had an Indian motocycle with powder coated barrels. [Air cooled motor] This machine was also stroked, and I had no problems from the powder coating. Brian

Did you use the powder coat chrome color on your heads?

Gasoline or oil leaks may/will discolor the powdercoat and you can't do anything about it.

Wouldn't that hold in more heat?

No it was more like alum. color. I have had no issues with heat. And as far as staining goes, even the alum. cast head will stay stained from gas or oil. The only draw back is the bucks that it cost. Chet/Ma.
