1950 Mercury chrome garnish moldings
I bought all four inside window garnish moldings that are made of brass and are chrome plated. I have been told they are from a 1950 Mercury Monteray 2 door.Does any one have information on these. Thanks.

Don't know about being brass but all 7 garnish moldings on Monterey models were chrome plated.

Have you checked them with a magnet?? Brass or copper flash over steel before chrome.
On the other hand I have seen hub caps advertised as Canadian/Brass.. Brass definitely forms easier than steel??? |
