Pict of the correct hardware for '32 wishbone ball cap
I'm looking for help as to what was the correct hardware to mount the ball cap to the bottom of the K member.
I don't think what's I correctly have there is correct and I want to fix it while I can access it easily. Thanks, |

I recommend a S2 (black oxide) finish, rather than a S (plain) finish as the latter offers zero corrosion protection.

Thank you. I see the specs and the diagram is very helpful. The two nuts that are on there now are large; almost axle size, but not as thick.

I agree, but in this specific instance I checked the part numbers against those in the Appendix in my book which is based on the '32 parts catalog, not the green book, cross checked with my experience with originals. Those in Glenn's illustration are correct in this instance. I also agree that the fastener compilation is one of the biggest challenges in research and without extensive experience with original fasteners, it can end up misleading those interested in that level of detail. |
