Here is my 28 Phaeton with gas tank date 9-27-28.
Notice how the apron bead ends where the hood shelf meets it.

Dudley,
In a pinch, could the hood shelf in post # 17, be trimmed to look "fair" with that splash shield?

what does the splash apron look like underneath that hood shelf lip?
surely it is not merely a sharp edge of metal. there must be some design to it.

The top edge on the 1929 apron is just a cut edge with a bead, so I'd bet my 1928 is also just a cut edge with no top edge bead.

Here is a hood shelf and a couple more splash aprons, a 1929 and a 1930.
Is the 1931 radiator apron the same as the 1930?

Does anyone know if the 30 and 31 radiator aprons are the same? See third picture in 24.

I don't think anyone would won't to do that Willie. The 28's are hard to come
buy, in decent shape. I think there are 5 different styles of 28's alone!
I even thought about adding a piece to the 29's too make them late 28's!

Mine just looks like Toms on post #21. All except my shelfs don't come down far enough to cover the apron beads on both sides. And I cant tighten the screws up any more. I came home from work and my new ones were laying in the breezeway from Snyders. Didn't get them opened yet. Will let you know. Thanks again guys for all of your help. I really appreciate it a lot. Ok hooga. Bob....
