Default Crank Identification

Am I correct in assuming this is a Mercury 4” crank? What do the numbers represent? Thanks for your help.

6" across the throw should be Merc. Here's an article containing more info on Merc cranks:

This could be a 53 crank made with the shell molding process. I've seen several Ford cranks made with this process, but never a merc. in 54 all the "Y" block cranks were made with this process.. Much stronger crank.

Thanks for the info. Guess the only way to be certain is to measure the stroke. Any idea what the numbers indicate?

Thanks. I’ll be taking it and the block to the machine shop pretty soon. Hopefully they can save them both.
