1959 Edsel steering question
I know this isn't exactly the best place to ask, but maybe there are a few Edsel owners on here. A buddy has been looking to either rebuild or replace the manual steering box in his '59 Edsel. He needs the thrust bearings, part number B8KY-3B736-A. Unfortunately they are unique to Edsel, and I think used mid-58 through 59 only. He tried using early Falcon/Comet bearings but without much luck. Are there any Edsel owners on this site that can tell me where to get these bearings or is there an economical/easy manual steering box that Ford made that will bolt in place of the manual box he has? Thanks.

Re: 1959 Edsel steering question
If he can get the numbers off the bearings or bring them to an auto supply they might be able match them up with something off the shelf or be able to order them.

Or a bearing supply store, as they would have a larger selection of bearings, seals etc.
