Cylinder head i.d.
Can anyone tell me anything about this head? It was on a running motor. The tags on top say 3.19.38 and made in U.S.A. The chamber looks like the one Snyder sells but his is plain on top and I think this one is pretty old as the car was in storage for quite a while. Any ideas? Thank you

Re: Cylinder head i.d.
After market head from the late 30's. The one I pulled from my old engine has a riveted tag like yours but is a stock compression head.

Re: Cylinder head i.d.
It looks to me like the 5.2 compression head made in the 30's and borne out by the 1938 casting date and the "police" head shaped combustion chambers.

Re: Cylinder head i.d.
I have one like it. Came on a B engine I came by 20 years ago. Used it on the current A engine in my 30 Town Sedan. I'll have to check out the date on the tag tomorrow. Didn't want to spend the $$$ for a new snyder head as this one was in hand....

Re: Cylinder head i.d.
Very common with that head, they must have been thin there.
