I have a publication called "The Model A Ford The First 50 Years 1928-1978"
Published 1977 ISBN 09595864 8 2. Seems like most things figures are rubbery.

I know its a 1928.............. I think.:-)

I have a copy of that book and see what you mean. Send me a personal message with your regular email and I will send you the correct full list of Canadian Numbers.

I would love to know when in 28 it was built.
I have some literature saying Dec1927 for CA1 - CA5373
According to the information that I have, given to me by Wm. Furness, one of our founding fathers of Model A owners of Canada, and to him by a Mr. Herman Smith who was the Archivist at Ford of Canada, is:
Feb 28 CA1 to CA479
Mar 28 CA480 to CA3229
Apr 28 CA3230 to CA7121

And the list goes on..... You can then find out how many working days there was (in APR 28) and divide it by the total production for that month, and get an approximation of the day that your car was built!
According to the records, production started in Feb 28 for the Canadian cars and trucks. By the way, it is listed in the Canadian Supplement to the Judging Standards as above! Jim

According to my calculations March finished at CA 3229 and April ended at CA7172 which equals 3943 engines produced, divided by 25 working days in April = 157.72 motors per day. April 1 was a Sunday so your motor would have been made on Monday April 2nd 1928. Make sense?

Hi Guys,
sorry if my question is a little different, but I saw the gas tank stamped (Mine is 7-19-28) and has screws instead of bolts and nuts, Which is correct ?
Cheers,
Charlie

Charlie, the tank probably has been replaced or taken out at some point & they just used 'new' screws & nuts instead of old nuts & bolts. Those bolts in the photo are correct for all '28 '29's.
