Re: Does anybody make Ford Batterys?
Depends on what year. At least one on line seller has Ford script batteries with some years discontinued.

Re: Does anybody make Ford Batterys?
Ken, I just spoke with a nice lady at Jim's Antique Battery (formerly Antique Auto Battery) in Youngstown, OH. She is telling me that the early Ford battery (8") will no longer be available, but if you want to alter the depth of your battery box...they will be able to furnish those batteries in about 5 weeks. She indicated that they were able to obtain some 9" 6V Optima batteries, but will be a few weeks before they take delivery. They are no longer making the acid (wet) batteries.
The cost for the 6V 9" Ford script battery will be $320 + Shipping. Their phone number is: 800-426-7580. The folks who owned Antique Auto Battery retired in April of this year and one of their employees (Jim) has taken over the business. It has taken a good while to obtain the necessary licenses to make and sell the batteries, but they are now up and running. The website is still under the old domain and they are working on it. Good luck, Pat |

Might review some of the past threads on the topic. Lot of opinions on batteries.

Re: Does anybody make Ford Batterys?
6-volt batteries are slowly going the way of the Dodo Bird. It is a niche market that large companies don't want to bother with.
I can see that one day in the future, a person may have to purchase a late dry charge battery and disassemble it down to separate cells to fit an old style case just to have a 6-volt battery at all. At least they are still available in one form or another for the time being. |

Re: Does anybody make Ford Batterys?
Doing a search will turn up a lot of recent info on battery choices.
