need value help on 1930 2 door sedan
Hey fellow Barners I normally do not ask for values on items but I need help on a 1930 2 door sedan.I have a couple of coupes but have never dealt with sedans.Heres the scoop,my next door neighbor and his son found the car thru a friend of the family, and they are intrested in buying it.This guys brother passed away and was left with selling this car.It was in the family since new from there father.I looked at it today(sorry no pics) it is SUPER soild.I checked all the typical areas and this thing is clean with nice doors and fenders, good radaitor and grille shell. The interior is factory but basiclly shot, the wood seems good from what I see.The motor is loose and appears to have had gaskets replaced and painted,I'm sure it will run,it did 5 years ago.Tires are shot.It has never been completly apart and has a old back yard paint job on it at best, and one broken rear side glass.I think with new tires and a few days of tinkering it would run and drive. It will have a clean title when it gets sold.So I know it's hard giving a price without seeing it but any help would be great,if theres anything that I left out let me know.
Thanks in advance Joe |

Re: need value help on 1930 2 door sedan
I have two . Tudor sedans are the most common. I've seen people have trouble getting ten thousand for a nicely restored tudor. The one that you describe with back yard paint job, bad interior, broken window, worn out tires and loose engine not running, would probably be LUCKY to bring four thousand. Prices are down.

Re: need value help on 1930 2 door sedan
I just bought the same year and body car, body is great, brakes are decent, tires are good and not cracked. Motor turns free and has spark (after we added battery). I got a good deal at $2800. If I were to sell not running I would ask $4k. Running I would guess $6k, but I am no A expert.

I agree with the others. The biggest hit will be tubes and tires. Count on a grand or more if you go with a name brand and metal valve stems.

I will agree with the value being somewhere in the $4,000 to $6,000 range. My opinion, Chris |

One of the worse things about the tudor is the little front seats.
