Roadster Windshield Glass Removal
How does the windshield glass come out of a 28-9 roadster frame? Or in other words, how does the frame come apart to remove the glass?

Re: Windshield Glass Removal
I haven't done one, but there was a thread about it a few weeks ago. As I recall you just remove the hinge pivot studs then tap the top bar off the glass and lower frame.

Re: Windshield Glass Removal
I saw that thread and as I recall it was on a 30-31. I guess 28-29 is the same?

Re: Windshield Glass Removal
There are 2 screws on each side, above the pivot studs, that hold the top bar to the rest of the frame. After they're removed the top bar should lift up and out easily barring corrosion, etc.. The glass should then also slide up and out of the frame. Don't believe that the pivot studs need to be removed unless the threads are longer than they should be for some reason and are binding against the edge of the glass.

Re: Windshield Glass Removal
Mine has only what look like 2 flat rivet heads on each side, no screws. Maybe the slotted part was ground away at some point. As is most everything else on this car the windshield frame is a mess.
