Default 30 Deluxe Coupe Rumble Seat Upholstery Panels

Were rumble seat side panels ever form fitted? These are covered in vinyl and sewn around the edges. Possibly steamed and pressed over a mold after covered in vinyl(??). The interior is probably 20 years old.

I'm replacing poorly mounted front seat belts. Looking at retractable but there does not seem to be room for a retractor without cutting the panels. Thinking about Stiff Arm Lap Belts from Julianos https://www.julianos.com/Starburst-S...justifflap.htm. No need to cut panels and will keep buckles from falling out the door. Plus, I prefer to snug belts manually.

Dunno about fitted like you describe but we put L-B panels in our 30 Sport Coupe. They were vinyl covered glued on back, not sewn. They were flat and we did have to bend (not crease) them a bit to get them to fit in the retainers.
