Default International Model A Day Tour or The Buzzards Roost Run

Last Saturday just for kicks and because it was International Model A Day I put together a run through the hills near me. This is the first annual run, I'm hoping to attract a few more cars next year. The route takes us through some very scenic country with virtually no traffic. Here's some of the highlights. About 100 miles in total and loads of elevation changes and turns!!

And we're off like a herd of turtles

Volcanic rock

The reason its called Buzzards Roost

Onward

One of 3 single lane bridges

Another one

Old PG&E hydro plant. Its still in use, the generator was humming along

Stop at a country store

Traffic was really rough

Best I could do over my shoulder

Epic views!!

Looks like a FINE TRIP! The Blue Coupe has headlights like my '32 had, I always liked the shape of them.
Little Cow Creek reminds me how IMPORTANT the family cow was! OH WAIT, words of an OOOLD song just popped up: "WELL I WOKE UP THIS MORNING, LOOKED OUT MY DOOR, I CAN TELL MY MILK COW, I CAN TELL BY THE WAAAY SHE LOWS, HAVE YOU SEEN MY MILK COW? PLEEEASE DRIVE HER ON HOME, CUZ I AIN'T HAD NO MILK & BUTTER, OOOH, SINCE MY COW'S BEEN GONE"!

Let's see . . .. Two doors, roll-up windows, no top. That's a cabriolet, right?

Nice scenery. Looks like a good run.

I like the last picture with the windshield open and the view of the plains. I'm going to save that one to look at when the snow is flying here in Michigan.

Great looking scenic route. You are to be commended for your efforts. Was it in California and how many cars? Wayne

Bill One of my favorites. Have you heard Wayne Hancocks version of the Milk Cow Blues?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH4NajwNR1k I think you'll enjoy it!!
W. Micheal Not quite a Cabriolet
Greg those hills will hopefully get snow this winter. Mt Lassen is just a bit to the east of this tour.
