Default I've been waiting 35 years for today.

This morning was the last time I went into work for Dupont! 35 years.
At 9am. that was when I stepped out the door. RETIREMENT!
Last week I drove my 30 Pickup into work and loaded up my Tool Box. I weighed it....689lbs. I did make a lap around the place,it was the only way to leave.
Next for me......Zoning permit was approved, tomorrow building permit office. 34x36 Workshop going up.
Hershey is around the corner and I'm looking forward to it!!!
This year has thrown me some curves,
But I'm BACK!

Wish the best for you. Enjoy your retirement Wick!

FWIW: Leaving adequate room for a hoist in that shop? A vaulted ceiling in a portion would allow one. I installed one 3 years ago and it has made working on cars a lot less strenuous.
Good Day!

Congratulations my friend ! Today is the first day of the rest of your life, so enjoy every day. Retirement is not to be feared, it is to be anticipated with great joy! You will wonder how you got everything done when you worked. Regards, Wayne

You'll wonder how you had enough time to work when you get started on
all the things you want to do. Good luck

Wick,
Congrats on your retirement. With more time on your hands, hope to see you at some of the local shows in the Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex & surrounding areas. Thought I saw you in a phaeton at the July 4th Irvington parade. Good luck with your new garage. I have space envy.

Glen

Way to go Wick, You are going to love Retirement. As was brought up think about a hoist. Getting on the ground is hard to do, no wait it is getting back up that is hard to do! Don in Indiana

Congratulations Wick! I know the feeling, I did 35 years with GM; I don't miss the old factory just some of the people.

You had better rethink that shop size.
Twice that size will be marginal.

How do I know that?? LOL
