Default Lincoln door buttons in a 47 Ford

I've been asking on other places on the internet, but haven't gotten a good answer yet. I was wondering if the 46-48 Lincoln Continental door buttons, and latches would work in the door of a 46-48 Ford?

No, not without a lot of modification.

Door latches (NOS) are fairly common for your car. Unless I'm missing something here, why not locate NOS?

I have latches already, but I'm going for a different look.

Instead of trying to turn one mechanical action into another mechanical action.
Figure out how to turn the push button into an electric grounding switch to activate a door 'popper' solenoid.

A person would have to ask one of the old timer custom builders about this mod. Not as many of them left from that era as there once was. Not as many old Lincolns around either.

Having installed Lincoln push buttons on at least 2 vehicles back when it was fashionable, none were done on pre-1949 vehicles.
Generally '48 and earlier car handles used a rotary motion of the handle to operate and did not lend themselves to the use of push buttons.

There is a customized 1947 convertible on Facebook with what you are inquiring about. In 41-48 Ford Group, posted by Jerry Forness.
