light discoloring can be removed with Turtle wax tar and bug remover. I had a can of old stuff and it worked great. the new is not as strong.

I use Bon Ami "Hasn't scratched yet" did my '33 windshield chrome surround that obviously wasn't touched in 90+- years.

Must be done w/a sponge! Now, before you begin and use up your Sunday afternoon, search for elbow doctors in town, just in case, though.

Since, I am now of the belief that the elbow should be a ball & socket joint . . . With a Zerk.

I’ve have used 0000 steel wool and Turtle Wax chrome cleaner on chrome with good results. Not recommended for stainless steel. I use a dedicated stainless steel polish like White Diamond and an old Terry cloth rag. If the stainless is off the car a buffing wheel speeds things up.

I second Mothers. I won some 40 years ago in a creeper race at a rod run in Centralia WA. I have been a huge fan ever since. I works on all metals and I've even used it on paint to rub out scuffs and scratches. Tim

Nevr-dull I’m on my second can since I bought my ‘41, it does take a bit of elbow grease.

Try Brasso. We use it on steam locomotive bells. Works on any metal.

Brasso is great. Needs to be fresh. For some reason, once it separates, it no amount of shaking seems to blend it back together.
